Gaming Supplier Gains Approval in the United Arab Emirates
A gaming solutions provider has secured a license from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in the United Arab Emirates, marking another step in the region’s burgeoning gaming market.
The license allows the company to provide its “games as a service” (GaaS) offering, which includes games, game systems, and a platform, to licensed operators within the UAE’s regulated gaming environment. The company’s portfolio includes a variety of online casino content, such as slots, video poker, and instant-win games.
This approval is part of the company’s broader international expansion strategy, which includes recent approvals in other key markets. The company is already active in several European countries.
“This license is a significant step as we continue to grow our global presence,” said a company spokesperson. “The UAE represents a dynamic new market, and we are excited to contribute to the development of its regulated gaming sector with our innovative solutions.”
UAE Gaming Market Growth Continues
The GCGRA has been actively issuing licenses, signaling the UAE’s commitment to developing a regulated gaming industry.
Recent approvals include vendors offering services to the emerging lottery market. Other licensed vendors include slot machine manufacturers and payment providers.
The GCGRA was established to create a regulatory framework for gambling, national lottery, and commercial gaming. The organization awarded the nation’s only lottery license to The Game LLC, which launched lottery games in late 2024.
The UAE’s first commercial land-based casino gaming license was awarded to Wynn Resorts for the Wynn Al Marjan Island Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, a multi-billion-dollar project expected to open in early 2027.
